West Hub

How they describe themselves

The West Hub sits at the heart of the Cambridge West Innovation District, offering a new and unique meeting place for people to connect and socialise. It represents a modern University approach to learning spaces, shared-use resources, and integrated library services.“

Notes from Startup Signpost

When you first walk into West Hub, it feels like it might be a University only space. But remarkably, this is open to the general public too. It provides coworking spaces as well as breakout spaces which you don’t need to prebook or be a member to use. However, as you can imagine, these spaces can get quite busy as a result!

If you want to book one of the bookable rooms, you can do this via the website. These bookable spaces are free to University users under certain circumstances, and those outside the University can view the booking fees here.

Getting there

West Hub is on the West Cambridge site (the clue’s in the name).

If you’re coming by car, you won’t be able to find parking on the West Cambridge site, but you can park at the Madingley Road Park & Ride and get the bus (either the Park and Ride bus, which brings you halfway, or the Universal bus, which brings you very close to West Hub). You can also walk from the Park & Ride (approx 15 mins).

Buses also run from the centre of town, including the Universal bus and the Madingley Road Park & Ride bus, amongst others. We recommend checking bus timetables.

There is plenty of cycle parking on the West Cambridge site.
